MESSAGE FROM QDRIA GREENKEEPER

For your information, I would like to inform you that the yellow tees for hole 11 QdR have been moved to the blue and red tee box today and will remain there until mid-September. This is to prevent balls from falling near the house located on the side of the blue and red tee box.

PREFERRED LIES

Given the recent good weather and general improvements on the courses, especially Cima, the Handicap Competitions and Rules committee have decided to remove preferred lies on both courses from 1 June.

From this date, until otherwise advised, you play your ball as it lies on both courses.

The exception to this, which must be agreed by your playing partner(s) and only applies on Cima, is that if your ball lies on the fairway or surrounding areas of the greens (ie where previously you could have claimed a preferred lie) and is on brown or bare patches, or on recently patched turf, then we will treat these as ground under repair and relief may be taken (one club length not nearer the hole).

Permission must be obtained first by playing partner. If your ball is in the rough on any bare patches you play it as it lies or take a penalty drop.

CAPTAINS DAY 21st MARCH IS MOVED TO 5th APRIL

Dear Members,

Due to the weather forecast for next weekend we have decided to postpone Captains’ Day until Sunday 5th April.

We will ask members to re-enter for the new Captains Day, the link is open in our calendar.

Due to the fantastic response for Captains day the draw will prioritize the members that have supported the club competitions and have submitted cards regularly.

Due to the fact that we were oversubscribed the captains will decide who will be playing if we are oversubscribed again.

Unfortunately we cannot control the weather and we hope you can all attend the new date.
