Almost 75 years ago a young girl in post war Holland gave birth to a girl and named her Elisabeth Janna, we now know her as our special Lisa.
She has for the last 21 years devoted herself to promoting the fantastic golf courses
that she and José created in 2002 and taken meticulous care of the Clube de Golfe do Levante members.
However, her association with the area goes back well before 2002. Some 19 years earlier she and Jose began assembling the land.
They spent many happy days staying at the little house now next to tee 2 on Ria and enjoying impromptu parties with friends at the former barn – now our clubhouse.
After much soul searching Lisa has reluctantly decided that she needs to join the rest of us in retirement!
In recognition of her dedication and commitment to our club we will be holding a special day on 23rd October – around that time she has a significant birthday.
Please save the date, details to follow but try to be present at QDR if you can.
The Club will create the post of Honorary Club Captain and Lisa will be offered the inaugural position for life.
On behalf of you all the Board have agreed to present Lisa with a retirement gift of 6000 euros which she
will use towards a well earned rest and holiday as well as spending time with her family.
At Christmas Lisa retires from her duties in the members office but not from our Club.
She will continue to accompany our President Henk in raising and distributing our Club’s charitable
funds and of course we hope to see her playing golf again and receiving prizes rather than distributing them!
The Board will now need to focus on how the members office will function once Lisa has retired.

I am sure we all wish Lisa all the best in her well earned retirement from Clube de Golfe do Levante.
